What is IP?
Internet Protocol. A packet-based protocol for delivering data across networks.
It is the basic communication language or protocol of the Internet
What is POE?
POE is “Power over Ethernet”. It allows Cat 5 Ethernet cable to deliver both data and power to Network enabled devices by the POE standard IEEE802.3af. Power over Ethernet supplies generally act as a DC injector.
The normal use of this device is in eliminating the DC power supply wiring required for an IP Camera.
What is remote surveillance software?
Remote video surveillance software allows the user to login either through internet explorer and an active internet connection there by permitting either live security camera views and or access to the logged data base for any of the connected CCTV cameras.

What is a Web enabled?
Web-enabled software application or hardware device is one that requests, and is given access to, services and/or resources via an HTTP request. Typical for a video surveillance IP camera.
